Meet Rowan
I created Vida Lab as a space for girls like me to learn, grow, and take charge of their health.
I know what it's like to feel confused by your own body. For years, I struggled with health issues that no one really explained — and I wished someone had given me the tools, language, and confidence to understand what was actually happening.
My journey into health advocacy started with my own experience with endometriosis, watching my mother battle breast cancer, and watching my grandfather face Alzheimer's disease. Those experiences taught me that health can feel fragile — but that knowledge is power, and self-advocacy matters.
Endometriosis
Living with unexplained pain that took years to be taken seriously.
Cancer
Watching my mother fight breast cancer and learning to advocate through fear.
Alzheimer's
Seeing my grandfather face cognitive decline — and deciding to understand why.
Instead of letting those challenges define me, I turned them into motivation. That path led me to strength training, nutrition education, neuroscience research, and ultimately — to Vida Lab.
What drives this work
Through Vida Lab, I share everything I've learned — from science-backed research to real-life experience — in a way that feels honest and supportive. My goal is to help you:
Research & background
Rowan's research spans neuroscience, chronic illness, and women's health. Her published work includes studies on preventing amyloid-beta plaque accumulation in genetically predisposed young adults, the ethics and science of CRISPR-Cas9 gene editing, and workplace burnout solutions. You can access her full research papers on the Research & Resources page.
